Gabriel Ciobanu is a senior researcher at the 
Institute of Computer Science, Romanian Academy. 
He is a PhD supervisor in the Romanian Academy system.
He is the Editor-in-Chief of Scientific Annals of Computer 
Science, "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iasi.
Dr. Gabriel Ciobanu is also a Professor at "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iasi.

Awards:
2000: Romanian Academy "Grigore Moisil" Award (The first "Grigore Moisil" 
Award of the Romanian Academy was received by Gabriel Ciobanu for his papers on 
process algebra and bio-inspired computation),
2004: Romanian Academy Iasi branch "Octav Mayer" Award (for his papers 
published in ISI (Science Citation Index) journals),
2009: Gala Premiilor in Cercetare.
