Carlo ALLOCCA Universitatea din Napoli "Federico II" Napoli Italia ----------------------------------- From OWL to Logic Programming: a case study inspired from Italian Culture ----------------------------------- ABSTRACT ----------------------------------- We will present main results have been reached by an ontological analysis of the Culture Heritage field. A domain ontology was developed to allow a more articulate exploitation of the culture heritage property, and a better defined historical reconstruction by facing the crucial theme of re-contextualisation. Moreover, we will show a Logic Programming based approach by which we can reason with low computational complexity. A tool was developed and implemented to translate an OWL-DL Ontology into Disjunctive Logic Program. SHORT CV ----------------------------------- Carlo Allocca finished Master Studies at University of Napoli on July 2006 and now he is a researcher at CNR (Council National of Research). His main research field is Formal Aspects of Ontologies and Logic Programming.
