Summer School on Corpus Linguistics
A workshop on
GRAMMAR ENGINEERING AND GRAMMAR LEARNING
The workshop was allocated a whole day within the period of the School. The focus of the workshop
was on work done in relation with writing constraint-based (e.g. HPSG) grammars to describe significant subsets/phenomena in Romance languages and infering such grammars from linguistic corpora.
Researchers in the area of formal grammars for natural languages were invited to send contributions relevant for the above stated focus. Students were also highly encouraged to respond.
Authors, supposed to register to the School, were invited to submit full papers up to 6 pages, or extended abstracts (up to 2 pages) in PostScript format (preferably generated from LaTeX).
